Date:                                          April 2, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Scott De Leon, Public Works Director

Subject:                     Adopt Resolution Expressing Support for the Lower Lake Daze Parade and Street Fair, and Temporarily Authorizing a Road Closure, Prohibiting Parking and Authorizing Removal of Vehicles and Ordering the Department of Public Works to Post Signs.

Executive Summary:

The Lower Lake Daze parade and Street Fair has been planned for May 26, 2024, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Based on previous Lower Lake Daze events, no-parking zones and a road closure are needed to limit congestion so that emergency services can access the area during the Lower Lake Daze event.

Attached for the Board’s consideration and action is a resolution of support for the Lower Lake Daze events, and to create the temporary no-parking zone and temporary closure on Main Street, from Hwy 53/29 to the intersection with Mill Street.
