Subject: Adopt Proclamation Commending Laura Calderon for her 23 Year of Service to the County of Lake
Executive Summary:
WHEREAS, Laura Calderon began her service with the County of Lake as a Mental Health Worker with the Behavioral Health Services Department on the Children's Team on January 22, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Calderon has worked with hundreds of children over the past 23 years providing supportive services across Lake County, primarily in schools, to our most vulnerable youth; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Calderon has provided unwavering dedication to uplifting the children of Lake County, as well as their families and teachers, the value and impact of which cannot possibly be measured; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Calderon has been an example of excellence in service, consistently receiving above average and outstanding evaluations, as well as a source of guidance and support to her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, after dedicating 23 years of service to Lake County and the Department of Behavioral Health she retired on April 5th, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Laura will be deeply missed by colleagues and community alike who are grateful for everything she has done for the children and families of Lake County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Lake does hereby commend Laura Calderon for her 23 years of outstanding and dedicated service to the County of Lake and the Department of Behavioral Health and we wish her good health and happiness during her retirement.
