Date:                                          April 23, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Rob Howe, Sheriff/Coroner

Susan Parker, County Administrative Officer

Subject:                     Approve Judicial Advocate General (JAG) Grant #15PBJA-21-GG-02842-JAGX Decline Letter and Authorize Chair to Sign

Executive Summary:

On August 17, 2021, the United States Department of Justice awarded a JAG Grant in the amount of $15,004 to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.  Unfortunately, the extra-help position designated to be funded by this grant remains vacant and the Sheriff’s Office did not accept the award and the funds were not expended.  Sheriff Howe recommends declining the award and closing out this grant.
