Memorandum

Date:                                          April 11, 2024

To:                                          The Honorable Lake County Board of Supervisors

From:                                          Chief Probation Officer Wendy Mondfrans

Subject:                     Approve By Laws of the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council

Executive Summary:

The Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) is an entity established by Welfare & Institutions Code 749.22.  This entity oversees juvenile justice programs in Lake County and is conducted under the Brown Act. A search of past Board of Supervisors meeting minutes and agendas was conducted, and I was unable to find any By Laws for the entity approved.

At the JJCC meeting on March 14, 2024, the Executive Committee reviewed proposed By Laws and approved them to be submitted to this Board.  County Counsel has also reviewed the By Laws.
