Subject: Approve Contract between County of Lake and California Department of Social Services for Quality Assurance Case Review, in the amount of $108,695.00 from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2029, and authorize the Chair to sign.


Executive Summary:
In accordance with 45 C,F,R, 1355.34(c) and California Welfare and Institutions Code (WIC) Section 10601.2(a), local county child welfare agencies are responsible for implementing a qualitative case review process for child welfare services by child welfare and probation agencies. Cases are pulled on a continuous quarterly basis and provided to each county by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). Through the standard agreement, the Lake County Department of Social Services (LCDSS) agrees to coordinate with CDSS for the provision of case review, reviewing case lists, securing interviews, preparing all necessary case files, and tracking and addressing safety and policy concerns.

This contract renews the case review process from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2029.
