Subject: Consideration of Travel Reimbursement Claim for Expenditures outside the scope of the travel policy for Health Services Director Jonathan Portney, in the amount of $723.90 for the EMSAAC Conference held in San Diego and Authorize the Auditor-Controller to Process Payment
Executive Summary:
EMSAAC is composed of administrators from 33 Local EMS Agencies (LEMSAs). These County-designated agencies are responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating local, integrated systems of emergency medical services. The purpose of attending was to best understand how the Medical Health Operational Area Coordinator (MHOAC - Jonathan Portney) coordinates with the LEMSA to ensure ALS, BLS, and IFT initiatives are best executed in collaboration with the local agencies and the State. Jonathan attended this conference with North Coast EMS & Mike Marsh Consulting LLC advisor to the MHOAC. During the EMSAAC conference, partnering counties and state representatives were able to discuss best practices and developing/new policies to enhance emergency management response for the County of Lake.
