SUBJECT: Consideration of the Award of Bid No. 18-17 for the Lower Lake Parks Maintenance Facility in the amount of $723,737.00 to True North Constructors, Inc. of Anderson, CA; and authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement and Notice of Award.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Agent publicly opened bids for the subject project on Tuesday, December 18, 2018. Eight (8) bids were received and the apparent lowest responsible bidder was True North Constructors, Inc. of Anderson, CA. Please refer to the attached bid tabulation.
The scope of the project is the construction of the Public Services Parks Maintenance Facility in Lower Lake, which was a complete loss in the Clayton Fire. The project is anticipated to be funded from the County’s insurance coverage.
Staff recommends that the Board of Supervisors award the Contract for the Lower Lake Parks Maintenance Facility to True North Constructors, Inc. in the amount of $723,737.00 and authorize the Chair to sign the Agreement and the Notice of Award.
