SUBJECT: Approve Amendment Seven to Agreement between the County of Lake and Quincy Engineering, Inc. for Four (4) Bridge Replacement Projects and Two (2) Bridge Rehabilitation Projects for an increase of $10,370.36 and a contract amount of $1,364,007.46; and authorize the Chair to sign
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On September 27, 2011, the Department of Public Works entered into an Agreement with Quincy Engineering, Inc. for Engineering Services for Four (4) Bridge Replacement Projects and Two (2) Bridge Rehabilitation Projects in Lake County, CA. The Agreement was modified by Modification One and Amendments One thru Six to allow for the completion of extra work which was required during the design phase and to extend the term of the Agreement.
Additional effort is needed in order to facilitate the right of way acquisitions, as the number of affected parcels has increased, and to coordinate the utility relocation for the Robinson Creek project.
This amendment will provide for the additional effort required for Task 8, "ROW Engineering" and Task 9, "Utility Coordination". Caltrans has concurred with this amendment and associated costs are eligible for reimbursement. As a result of this amendment, the contract amount will be increased as indicated below by task and by bridge:
