SUBJECT: (a) Waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of goods or services; and (b) Approve the Agreement between the County of Lake and the Healthy Start Program for the Oral Health Program Provided by County of Lake Public Health Division for Fiscal Year 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and authorize the Health Services Director to sign the Agreement.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Attached, for your approval, is the Services Agreement between the County of Lake and Healthy Start Program.
Healthy Start is school based program that coordinates Oral Health screenings, referrals, and provides dental case management along with Oral Health Education to families and students within the school districts throughout Lake County. Healthy Start has had twenty years of experience with providing advocacy and school based services in Lake County.
