SUBJECT: (a) Adopt Resolution Correcting Resolution 2019-80 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2019-20, Budget Unit No.1231, County Counsel; and (b) Adopt Resolution Amending Resolution 2019-80 and Resolution 2019-88 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2019-20, Budget Unit No. 2602, Building and Safety
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
(a) Prior amendments to Resolution No. 2019-80 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 were approved to be effective on July 1, 2019. The Deputy County Counsel, Senior position was re-established in the County classification structure. Resolution No. 2019-80 incorrectly established the Deputy County Counsel, Senior as a stand-alone (discrete) classification rather than as part of a flexible classification series. The resolution will correct this position allocation.
(b) Resolution No. 2019-80 Establishing Position Allocations for Fiscal Year 2019-2020 was approved on June 5, 2019 to be effective July 1, 2019 and was subsequently amended by Resolution No. 2019-88. There were minor errors to those resolutions that require correction, including position classification code on Attachment A. It is necessary to clearly restate the position allocations for Budget Unit No. 2602.
