TO: Board of Supervisors
FROM: Scott DeLeon, Public Works Director
DATE: October 8, 2019
SUBJECT: (a) Waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of the goods or services, and (b) Approve the Agreement between the County of Lake and Pavement Recycling Systems, Inc. for the rehabilitation of Big Canyon Road in the amount of $142,800 and authorize the Public Works Director to sign the Agreement

This project is being funded with revenues generated by Senate Bill 1 (SB1) which has programmatic goals of utilizing new technologies in the maintenance and rehabilitation of local streets and roads. This will be the first project undertaken by DPW using this technique and utilizing a Contractor-County partnership in the completion of a road rehabilitation project.

Recommendation
The Board of Supervisors waive the formal bidding process, pursuant to Lake County Code Section 38.2, as it is not in the public interest due to the unique nature of the goods or services, and (b) Approve the Agreement between the County of Lake and Pavement Recycling Systems, Inc. for the rehabilitation o...
