To: The Honorable Moke Simon, Chair, Lake County Board of Supervisors

From: Carol J. Huchingson, County Administrative Officer

Subject: Approve Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Sulphur, Pawnee and Mendocino Complex Wildfires Structural Burn Debris Removal Insurance Cost Recovery and Invoicing in Lake County, CA

Executive Summary: (include fiscal and staffing impact narrative):
As your Board will recall, in late 2019, the County entered into an Agreement with Tetra Tech for Debris Removal Insurance Cost Recovery services. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck in March, in consistency with many State-level initiatives deferring payments of rent and other obligations, staff elected to temporarily suspend efforts to collect and secured CalOES approval to extend the project.

As a result, the Period of Performance of the County's Agreement with Tetra Tech for Debris Removal Insurance Cost Recovery services must be extended, from an end date of November 25, 2020, to November 25, 2021. There is no additional cost associated with this extension.
